Anti family conditioning programme

The message of this show is that family = misery
If I was conspiratorial I would say shows like this are deliberately designed to weaken the family and decrease birth rates by it's Jewish liberal authors.

The Bundy marriage did not wrestle with abortion, infidelity, drug addiction and other stuff that harms the family in the USA. They sound rather healthy in comparison to many other American families.

Destroying the family is the first and most fundamental step in destroying a society. Just look at how the democrats destroyed the black community.

reply

When blacks were Republicans their family unit stayed together. When they embraced the Democratic party their family units were mostly destroyed. 70% of inner city black families are single parent families. That's not a lie, just a fact. I'm not racist for saying it, but I am sure that someone on here will say that I am.

Liberalism destroyed the Black family unit, and they've been trying to destroy the white family unit by targeting white men for the past 20+ years.

Thank you for your post. It helped me to clarify some things I've had on my mind recently.

There's nothing racist about anything you've stated here. It's odd that the majority of the people in the world, regardless of the color of their skin, can't all speak up against the small but very vocal, cultish group of people who prevent honest, open discussion by calling anyone they disagree with a racist, nazi, etc.

We are being held hostage by children disguised as adults.

(And it's contributed in no small way to our anemic response to the bully in Russia, btw).

otoh the show is pretty antiwoke

It also shows that no matter how bad things are, a family sticks together. Al takes on horrible and demeaning jobs, situations, and temptations only to return and provide for his family. Kelly and Bud fight with each other a lot, and they back each other up when outsiders treat them like dirt. For all the insults and put downs from the D'arcys, Peg still chooses her family and even defends them.

It's all about how you watch it.

reply

Exactly. I think the OP is right about conditioning, but I don't think that happened until the 90s. Many of us had screwed up families but the Bundys stuck together through thick and thin. Fox was thinking out of the box with the new network and really nailed this one. A lot of us related to this more than the rich families that flooded TV prime time back then.

I enjoyed it a lot when I was a kid. It was crass, gross, low brow, and fun. Sure, there's definitely shows that push agendas, but that's always the case. Some shows did it well, Twilight Zone. Others are just bad at it, Batwoman.

In the end, it's up to the Viewers or parents of viewers to make good decisions about what to watch or how to address what's on TV.

Can I get a "Whoooooah BUNDY!"?

reply

Hell Yeah! WHOOOOOAH BUNDY!

Now help me push the Dodge in to the garage.

I disagree, the show is just portraying a typical working class family's disfunction but to an exaggerated degree. They could have promoted abortion if they wanted to decrease birth rates, dysfunctional families produce way more kids than perfect families.

Al got Peggy pregnant at a really young age and took a temporary job as a woman's shoe salesman. His football dreams never came to fruition and he stayed at a job he hated, but he did it to support a family.

reply

Actually it just depicted the patriarch as a hostage of his family, exploited by his ungrateful wife and children. It's more pro- male ego than anti-family.
