My god he just really really sucked as Lector. Such a caricature. Not intimidating at all. No wonder this isn't as famous as The Silence of the Lambs.

It's wasn't that Brian Cox was bad, it was the Anthony Hopkins was so good!!!

shareI disagree, Cox and Hopkins can’t really be compared, they were opposite style of performance, Hopkins played Lector like an otherworldly force of nature, Cox was basically a guy who you wouldn’t look twice at if you passed in the street, which one is scarier is down to peoples opinion.
