Is it weird that I find David Bowie sexy in this movie?
Really bummed that the biggest and longest standing thread on this board has disappeared. So, I thought I'd start it again:
Nope, he was DAMN hot! :-P

He's the only reason I've seen this movie so many time. Damn hot is right!!!
shareI find him incredibly sexy in this movie.

shareTOTALLY HOT! How many men can pull off that hair?! And let's not forget the pants he was wearing...
shareDavid Bowie is incredibly sexy anyway (which is probably why he was cast in this role). Yes, very delicious in Labyrinth (I'd take his character over that Fifty Shades of Grey one any day).

Well what was outlined in those tight britches sure didn't remind me of a girl.
Indeed, it certainly did not. I was surprised that they didn't correct the angle on some of those shots. *ahem*
Why did the white bear dissolve in water?
Because he was polar!
With all the phallic symbolism in this movie? Nah. I'd bet it was completely intentional.
Theatricality and deception are powerful agents against the uninitiated.share
No, I fancied him for ages after seeing it at the cinema, but I was 10 at the time.
shareCynical theory: Jareth is in a position of power, he's the king, that in itself is appealing, but the whole movie seems to be about a sexually inexperienced girl meeting a rich, tortured guy who seems to know about what sex is about and who at the end declares unconditional love to her.
Aren't those some of the elements that made Twilight and fifty shade of grey appealing to plenty of women?
