I gave it a well deserved 9--what did you give it?

Its so underated. It should at least be a 7.3

reply

I gave it a 7/10. It was good, but I think Part 7 is a little bit better.

EDIT: Rewatched it a while ago, now I give it an 8/10.

10/10 as well. One of my favorite movies of all time. Lots of people dislike this movie due to it really being the first film where supernatural Jason comes into play. It seems the Friday the 13th fan base is completely mixed on it, where half prefer more humanized Jason (films 1-5), while the other half prefer the supernatural Jason films (films 6-12).

Eh, 6.5 at best. The acting and characters are one dimensional, but I like the kills, gore, and how robust Jason was in this film. I at least rate is above part 5. Tbh, the first four are excellent while the last two until the weak Friday the 13th films came in are tolerable.

What gore? You mean the fake dummy leg of the nerd with a little ketchup on the end of it?
I think the only gory part was when Jason speared Horace with his hand and held out his heart. Otherwise -
It wasn't scary either.

1/10 It's not a real horror film. You could watch it with your kids easily.

I'm with Whiffle on this.

It's a comedic slasher that ended up looking extremely cheesy. CJ Graham is good in this. He's not great. Certainly better than Hodder (who bordered on cartoonish), but we see too much of him.

It references James Bond, American Express credit card commercials, and is essentially a parody of the previous entries.

It sucks.

I used to give it a 5.5/10 but I upped my rating to a 7 this time around.

I gave it an 8. Not scary, but you could definitely tell everyone in the movie had fun making it. And the characters weren't as dumb as they usually are in slasher movies, which was cool.
