I see a lot of reviews saying that this is the best of the series. I'm going to say with the exception of part 5 and maybe 8 and 4, this could be the worst. The silly resurrection scene and some atrocious acting/ dialogue really don't make this one stand out. This film originally had a 4.3 rating but somehow has risen to a 5.9.No way, this film is not worthy of that.
shareI don't know if I can justify it, but I love Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. I just really enjoyed it. None of them particularly scared me, so I guess I found this one more fun and thus liked it more.
shareThis one wasn't meant to be taken seriously. There were plenty of tongue in cheek horror films at this time, and the makers got that a zombie Jason couldn't be taken seriously.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.
I can easily justify liking this film. I never viewed it as comedy. I guess it is pretty campy. Its deaths a plenty & casual tone are fine By me. Like a lighter Halloween 4. It mixes my two fav genres. Horror/action. How could I not. Plus my fav Jason CJ graham. My only gripe is the god awful acting, that cant be argued. Otherwise great fun

At first at didn't like it, then I saw it again years later and I really enjoyed it, but this part 6 is far to be the best chapter! The movie has way more humor than the previous parts and is almost parody. It mustn't be taken too seriously.

But I like part 4. My favorite is part 3, Jason at his best.

IMHO the worst are A NEW BEGINNING, THE NEW BLOOD and JASON X.
shareThis is actually one of the best of the franchise. I believe nothing will beat part 1 and 2, they will always be the best. If you want to talk about a bad Friday the 13th, part 8-Jason takes Manhattan is #1.

I think so too? It's not the best of the franchise, that would be 1 and two for me. What I liked about six is that they had some great characters, and the added humor was a plus. I can't believe some think this is the worst. That one I believe goes to Friday the 13TH Jason takes Manhattan?

i really like this one, but the vibe was less creepy than the previous movies.
I hated Jaws, it had too much shark, and dont get me started about King Kong, waaay too much gorilla
I respectfully disagree; this is one of the best, and my second favorite of the series after Jason Takes Manhattan.
