wow, with the godawful music and the terrible acting, it begs the question-how on earth can someone release such a horrible film and make so much money off of it? not to mention the actors that were once good in their careers were washed up. also, chuck norris was pathetic. i have yet to see a movie that i despise as much as this one. to think of it, the only reason i could survive this movie was because i was spending time with my grandfather with declining health and terrible taste in movies when i watched it.

Nobody forced you to watch it.. So: don't! I personally liked the movie a lot. For a Golan-Globus Production it had a lot of story. And the scene where the german flight attendant is forced to look for jews is really chilling. And the movie at that scene is in fact very good. And this short part of the story is even more compelling than some highly acclaimed movies if you ask me. As for the action part: Typically 80ties.. What did you expect?

I like it because it is based on a true story, at least the hijacking part and the killing of the Navy diver, but after that it veers into fiction. I personally like the soundtrack and when I was a kid, I would cry when Pete died.

Heck yea I gave it a 10 instantly. You know why? Because I grew watching action heroes like Arnold or Stallone. So this is the first movie I seen from Chuck Norris and damn it is just explosive. The music goes really well with it. You gotta love these kind of movies. They don't make them like that anymore :)

Please go watch your pathetic watered down PG-13 crappy half-*ss Hollywood flix. This is a movie (not enough of it these days) that showed how once Hollywood and other independent studios had enough guts and balls to show off some in your face story telling.

Go back and watch XXX: State of the Union or Armageddon. LOL

Who cares if someone is homophobic or likes coldplay. Or likes or dislikes this movie. Another thing I see all kinds of fascism and hatred from right and left wingers alike. Just in different extremes.

Just reading some of the defensive reply's for this movie, its easy to see why it made money.IT WAS AN AWFUL MOVIE FROM AN ERA WHEN MOVIES WERE PARTICULARLY CRAP, get over it.

Just a fun movie to watch - what movies are meant to be. Not all movies need to be subject to a rigorous (and more than that, an amusing and superfluous) critical analysis.

Wanna talk about "godawful music," let's talk about Coldplay.:)
