He is the heart and soul of the film. Every line a classic, every facial expression hilarious. With gestures flawlessly postured to match Chaplin's best. Born to do it.

Seriously, about how many performances in history can you say, "He makes every line hilarious"? Every damned line.

Even his improvised, "Some favour; I could operate that goddam thing," makes me chuckle.

I agree. His performance was top notch! The only line that's not funny is of course when he asks for forgiveness during the crematorium scene. I felt so bad for him and Freddy.

Somewhat agreed, every time I watch this one, I get a real kick outta watching him - in particular.

And the story does seem to revolve around him, especially as we say goodbye to him while he's delivering his own last rights.

Hearty but comical.

Franks best line is when Burt asks him to get up and help with the cleaning after they burned the cadaver.

Burt says, come on Frank lets go.

Frank, obviously very ill, says, 'Ok Burt, just give me a minute to catch my breath.'

Not until Freddy mentions their affliction does Frank concur.
