OK... Who else had a crush on Michelle Meyrink?

For playing a nerd in 2 movies, she was still an uber hottie.

Not so much in Revenge of the Nerds...

But dear God, I had such a crush on her, after seeing this movie, when I was younger. What the hell ever happened to her? She just seem to fall off the face of the earth.

As a chick, I just think she was über cool and I lved her hair!

Would you classify that as a launch problem or a design problem?-Real Genius

reply

HAD?! Still do...Even though she's been retired from acting since 1988, you know she's still fine.

-That's all the time we have, thanks for playing.

reply

Any idea of why she retired? I'm just curious.

reply

It doesn't specify but I would assume family. Married and with 3 children.

Some lucky son-of-a-gun named "John"

Absolutely! Loved her smart quirky personality! And she had a sexy bod too!

Two scenes specifically stand out for me:

1. At the beginning when she asks Mitch if he had a bed. My first thought was she was going to invite him to share hers! :O

2. When she's sanding her floor. Did you guys see the slit in her shorts?! Went almost up to her waist and boy she had some fine thighs!

reply

Caught Real Genius on satellite over the weekend, yeah I like that slit in her shorts. Never caught that before. Great thighs.

reply

Are you kidding? I was 20 or so when this movie came out and I wanted her bad.

She also looked good in Valley Girl, and I suppose proved her acting chops by uglying up for Revenge of the Nerds.

reply

Jordan was a babe! Loved it at the end when she's wearing those tight denim shorts! Michelle Meyrink was a total hottie in this. Beauty, body and brains.

The tragedy (for me) was that she wasn't super-popular enough to be doing any photoshoots in magazines (I would love to see some great pictures of her) and that she got tired of acting and retired from movies early just like Mara Wilson did.

reply

Well then Diskoboy, you might want to see Valley Girl. Pretty hot in that one too.

reply

The thing that is kind of amazing in her role in Real Genius is that her look doesn't look retro at all. If you met her looking like that on the street today, you wouldn't think that she looked 80s.

reply

You mean 90s. Plus, I thought she looked like Danica McKellar (Winnie from "The Wonder Years").

reply

Winnie grew up to be a total hottie. And a math nerd.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

reading this post is like that song "centerfold" by the j. geils band. I always thought I was the only one and now I find so many others found her extremely attractive. I watch this movie just for her. I loved her character and her character in revenge of the nerds. she really hit it home for us guys in the 20 age group in this era. I was sad to see she stopped acting because I loved her looks and her acting. but I understand. hollywood can wear on people. she made the decision that was best for her and I hope it worked out.

Dude, I know exactly what you mean! In most movies, I tend to be attracted more to a secondary character or an extra than the main Hollywood style "hottie" that everyone is attracted to. Yeah, it's strange feeling to see others fawning over someone you thought only you found attractive. :)
