Wasn't as bad as people make it out to be

Fans label this one of the worst installments in the franchise. I, however, disagree. This movie was the last "true" Friday the 13th. So what if Jason wasn't the killer? He wasn't the killer in the first one. The nudity in this movie is great, I thought the hillbilly characters were funny, and the film is just entertaining. The entire series wasn't meant to be taken serious anyways, so I appreciated the cheesiness in this one. The only gripe I have with this film is the kills. There wasn't anything special, the kills just lacked compared to the other installments. Anyway, this is one of my favorites of the franchise along with Jason Lives and Freddy vs Jason.

I liked this one. I think it was cleverly done. I have no problem with Jason not being the killer, it made it less predictable. It is also more reminiscint of the first film with the plot being a grieving parent and not something supernatural.

It had some of the funniest characters in the series, the mother and son team, Reggie's brother and his girlfriend, the boy with the stutter and Vi.

Also, I thought the scene of Roy's son being killed was very chilling.

This movie is highly under-rated and unappreciated. It was MUCH better than parts 8, 9 and 10 and Jason was the killer in those. I'll take this one over those anyday.

i agree this one wasn't nearly as bad as people say,, they need to grow the heck up and take Friday the 13th for what it was meant to be,, horror AND laughs.

Thank the almighty MPAA for toning down some of the kills: http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130606004846/fridaythe13th/ima ges/1/18/Violet-friday-the-13th-5.jpg

I'm cool with no Jason. And despite the letdown ending, A New Beginning is still my favorite simply cuz it's the most entertaining.

I was surprised to find out people hated this one back when internet was just starting out.

I don't see the reasons that it turned out to not be Jason, or arguments over why someone would flip out and go nuts as Jason on everyone around his sons death is just a dumb idea. It works fine to me.

I also don't get why this movie gets voted the worst. It's a plausible plot. Yet, New Blood introduced Carrie White, and Jason Takes, sorry, eventually gets to Manhattan ends with New York City sewers flooding with toxic waste, something that happens every night there apparently. And don't get me started on the *beep* acting in Jason Goes To Hell... or where Jason speaks.
