Would John Matrix beat the predator?

Dutch could beat the predator. Do you think John Matrix could beat it? I think yes.

reply

Dutch couldn't see the Predator, but Matrix would be able to smell the Predator. Big advantage.

Another brilliant post Steinberg...

reply

Matrix was pretty much a Terminator who happened to be human so yes i believe he could have handled the Predator. Bare handed.

Sorry Brother.

reply

Absolutely. Dutch was a tough SOB (and very strong, of course), but Matrix was something else.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

Commando certainly has a lot of flaws, but this is one impressive aspect, how Arnold was able to create a character even more badass than Dutch! Predator came later, but still, Matrix was like an one man army, and it's one of the reasons why Arnold is an action legend.

The actual movie is a lot of fun, but could use some work, as it's one of Arnold's movie that has the most amount of goofs, avoidable goofs as well lol.

Still, great action!!!

Matrix eat Green Berets for breakfast, and he also eats Predators for lunch, and he is always hungry!

reply

Only if he had Rae Dawn Chong to help him.

Also a pitch fork, axe, saw blade, and of course, a steam pipe!

How about Bennett?

Or maybe 20-30 of the piss-ant soldiers?

reply

Bennett wears crochet 'chain' mail.

reply

Goes without saying.

The real question is whether Bennett could take down the predator...

reply

I'm not convinced. We don't actually see evidence that Matrix is resourceful enough to craft his own weapons and booby traps to the level of quality that Dutch can. I mean, he probably can, but there's nothing in Commando to show it, other than throwing saw blades which wouldn't be available in the jungle.

Two different soldiers, two different trainings. Matrix, while under a time limit, still is able to bust into an armory and gear up. Dutch loses his weapons and team, and is forced to improvise weapons in the field.
