I have wondered how others might spend the money to accomplish the same goals. I mean, here are some ideas:
Travel in style - entire cruise line rented for you and a hired entourage to be at sea for 25 days. This gets rid of the money. You can spend it all and get a receipt day one. You are also at sea and not at risk to purchase anything.
Any other ideas?

The simplest way to blow the money would be to invest in high risk investments, eg share derivatives that are a long way out of the money. This is an investment, not gambling. Then wait for the derivatives to expire worthless.
But that is pretty boring. If you aren't allowed to hold any assets, you just spend all the money on services eg prostitutes, rock stars, super models.

Bank Balance $30,000,000
Fly 50 of my friends to Dubai and stay at the 7 star hotel.
Flights at 2k a head return $100,000
Suite at 7 star dubai hotel $20,000 per night (watched a travel show and im sure it said it was that) for 28 days (less travel time) $560,000 total each * 50 = $28,000,000
Leaves me with 1.9 million dollars. 5% of 30 mil is 1.5 million so that drops it down to $400,000 after given to charity.
Spend the rest on Gambling and Alchohol (doesn't equate to anywhere near 5% of total as clause states 5% on gambling and charity)
What about spending it all on research ie a car that runs on water, a cure for cancer or an aids vaccine.
If you find a solution for any of the above within 30 days, then who cares if you lost you would be billionaire anyway.
I would hire someone for a job and pay them $30,000,000 in salary, like paying $30,000,000 to have my shoes polished or for someone to fetch me an ice cream.
I see nothing wrong with paying however much in salary for a service.

No, put your big girl dress on and pay attention, it is CLEARLY stated you can only donate and gamble a small percentage of the money.
There is actually someone who says they would buy really expensive clothing and donate it, that's GIVING TO CHARITY.
Another "special education" poster says they would buy and destroy expensive cars then buy jewelry and give it away. Even though this is specifically mentioned as things you can not do.
Sagat thinks he can start a business, travel, even go into space in the span of 30 days. Good god almighty, just no.
