LOL I am dying of laughter here! Why are white people on this message board ANNOUCING they are white before admitting to watching the show? There is no law stating that white people cannot watch African-American sitcoms. Since TV was invented, there was nothing but shows featuring whites, and blacks had no other choice but to watch those. No one viewed that as strange. Now that we have black sitcoms, we have white people acting like children who discovered that broccoli isn't so bad after all now that they've tasted it. LOL Well, if you like 227, there are plenty more black sitcoms on TV that are just as good. Give us a chance. We're not so bad.

I'm black and I grew up watching Hee-Haw, Alice, and Dukes of Hazzard. Now that I look back on it, it was kind of strange.

LMAO! True, but considering those were pretty much the only shows on until Good Times and the Jeffersons came around, what choice did you have.

I grew up watching All in the Family, The Jeffersons, Fantasy Island, Alice, Punky Brewster, Silver Spoons, Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life, Designing Women, Fame, Golden Girls, Kate & Allie, Amen, 227, Empty Nest, Cosby Show, and plenty more (yes, I watched and still watch a LOT of T.V., lol).

That said, yes, I'm a white girl. So what? If it was a show I liked, I watched it.

I still watch Amen and 227 on GMC. Ever since Hallmark switched to their stupid 24/7 Christmas lineup, I had to change what I watch. GMC may be a Christian network, but at least they don't do the things that Hallmark Channel does, thankfully, so that allows non-Christians to continue to get their "fix" of their favorite shows.

No, you aren't. I love it!

I love that channel, too! And my name is Lori, too. lol

I've been watching 227 on Logo.

Maybe this world is another planet's hell.

no, i watched it last night for the first time after the Golden Girls stopped airing. I liked it, it was interesting to watch another tv show that was made before my time. At the end of the day, its just a show you are watching, who cares what you are or what you look like while watching it.

The more personalities you have the less boring you are!
