And it wasn't until I watched one of the special features that had an interview with the actor who played the 17 year old Spock that I got what that scene was about. I actually would have liked if the movie made clear she was having sex with him. Would have made the Curtis "Saavik" more interesting. I'm not against sexuality at all in ST.
