i tried but it was too depressing
shareIt's exactly like today. The only thing Orwell got wrong was that stupid Chastity League. The government wants people to have sex early and often. They want to destroy the basic family structure so people will look to the government as "Daddy." If they can get you to not believe in God, government can be your everything.
As for depressing, look at what Ofcom is doing to Mark Steyn for simply telling the truth.
Excellent book.
