Well, strippers tend to get boyfriends that are let's say not the clean cut types. They also get old guys that flash a lot of loot, access to drugs and jewlery. So, with that said the 2 guys robbing the joint may have been tipped off by one or more of the strippergirlfriends that 1) some of these guys would be there and easy pickings. 2)the owner/manager was doing a big coke deal and there would have been plenty of cash and coke to steal from the Managers office. They couldn't just walk to the back and acted like they knew the score or they would have tipped off that it was an inside job. Either way Foley spoils it before it gets that far.

I'm sure one of the strippers was involvedl in the planning of said robbery. It happens all the time where I'm from.

They're just local thugs trying to raid a club i guess.

funny story, or not... but i will always connect that strip club scene with my grandma walking in while i was watching and said "so this is what you're watching when i'm away", i was probably too young at the time to even know the purpose of a strip club. eddie murphy's movie career is similar like that of jim carrey's i find in the way of starting out in great fun cool flicks to later on end up in corny family like humourless ones, i love that jim carrey returned for "dumb and dumber to" though, imagine if he'd kept making movies like that. it's funny how john ashton is credited after ronny cox in the opening credits, i think of ashton and judge reinhold as having equal roles, its credit here looks different though like i figured it should be, what a loss that ashton was busy with other projects to return in "beverly hills cop 3". right from the start this hits off with such a great soundtrack. spoiler, axel gets so overly chummy with his friend in the beginning it's like you know he's gonna get it first time you view this i guess, it's so set up for it. when the villain got what appears to be cake in his face was a fun image, later on you expect axel to give him one during pop buddy comment but it's the reverse. how cool would it be if this got another sequel with the same cast.
