The water was Cold, that's why Angela hated swimming!

Fall colors and up state NY mean (or used to mean before global warming)cold swimming. No wonder Angela hated swimming! Bet this movie was made in September 1982 and swimming in NY (then) was cold. Today it's probably 20 degrees warmer.

She didn't want to get in the water because it could reveal her secret. Just how she didn't want to take showers with the other girls.
