What is your favorite Chapter?

I've liked this film for years, and have it on VHS. My favorite chapter is The Benediction (I love God vs. Devil films), with The Bishop of Battle as a close second!

All the Chapters were enjoyable. What is everyone's favorite "Chapter"??

I just took this DVD out and jumped through it again after quite some time. Despite being so short (just over 10 minutes!), "The Benediction" is by far my favorite. Like FiatLux1, partly because of the religious pretext. God-as-reality plots intrigue the heck out of this athiest...and I love a story to challenge me with a less-tired version of what a 'God' might actually be. Other such films I adore are 'Contact', 'The Prophecy', 'The Seventh Sign' and 'Prince of Darkness'. All put very cool spins on the subject matter.

Second, I like "Terror..." as it had, at the time of release, a real feel that was easily accesible to anyone that owns a car and drives at night.

The other two were so hokey and silly that I groaned outloud in the theater. Even in 1983, the "Bishop" effects were terrible.

Another vote for:

"Bishop of Battle"

My two all-time favorite segments were "Bishop of Battle" and "Night of the Rat." "Bishop of Battle" has a lot of neat and funky special effects, plus offers a very engaging depiction of the whole 80's arcade scene. "Night of the Rat" was quite gripping and suspenseful, with excellent acting by Richard Masur and Veronica Cartwright as the unhappy bickering married couple and a remarkable turn by Bridgette Anderson as their sweet little daughter. My only criticism of this chapter is the unfortunately shoddy (not so) special effects towards the end of the story.

all these stories are incredibly similar to other horror tales in this shorter format, some may have been made later than this.
on "The Benediction" part, once the veichle showed up from nowhere and started hitting from behind it became ridicolusly similar to the movie "duel", though once the veichle breaks out up from under the ground, all realism is gone, guess there goes the interest in seeing who the driver is, that kept you on the edge of "duel".
the last part is just appalling, i mean, you just felt terrible for the girl child. well, if i have to pick a favorite.. the first part, i guess then.

gift card, keeps you trapped within one store,
how come this thing wasn't a one-try died-out joke,
gift cards, big chance they won't even get used,
store laughing - looks like you got screwed,
no benefit,
just things to wrong with it,
run to the store quick,
couse if the store goes out of business, your card won't mean sh*t,
for some reason.. an expire date may be set,
though if the store closes down, they don't have any rules i guess,
i know a piece of paper you can buy things for,
it's called money, and it works in every store,
i got a gift card laying around here somewhere,
store went out of business since years,
i was that turkey way back far,
i got suckered in, on a giftcard.

I would have to cast my vote for Terror in Topanga..

I'm a sucker for slasher clones and urban legends.. The atmosphere was quite creepy in this one. The camera shots from up above looking down on the car through the woods are very nice they give you the feeling that he is watching..

Next is close between the bishop of battle and the rat but I will take BOB, rat and then the benediction..

"The Bishop of Battle". It could have had a better ending, though.

Enjoyable throughout, with several enjoyable moments - and one jaw-dropping bit (in The Benediction)... but it's The Bishop of Battle for me. Obsolete technology fascinates me in ways I am yet to understand.

The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.
