Were people so stupid in 1983 to accept this movie as anything but nonsense?

Just incredible!

How could anyone take this movie seriously?

Either that or I think it would be fair to say that the art of making movies has really advanced since.

By the way, I got the feeling Kim Basinger was really playing herself. I think she is probably truly *that* stupid!

You take anything of Bond movies serious !?!? Hahhaha, that was a good joke. Hey is fun fiction, that's it. Sit back and have two hours fun, that's it. If you want a serious movie, watch "Schindler's List".

i never got the impression that this movie took itself too seriously. it was an entertaining movie. basinger was hot.

Ppl are way more stupid now than we were in 1983. If films does it for you, just check out some top notch films of that year and decade.
