Who was Hotter - Geena Davis or Jessica Lange?

Self explanatory...

I guess Terri Garr could be a third option... she wasn't bad looking, but if I had to choose between the three of them? Jessica or Geena would be the frontrunners, lol.

EDIT: You know the feeling when you confuse JESSICA Lange with DOROTHEA Lange?

Jessica Lange, hands down. She's STILL gorgeous!

Hmmm, they are both very beautiful women. I'm a straight woman, but if I think they are equal.

I'd put all three in the same category in terms of looks. The characterization of each makes Julie the easy front runner. But, if you ignore that and go by looks alone they are equal.

Jessica Lange, no question here!

I can't say Geena. For some reason I could not be attracted her. So I say Jessica. Terri went plump. So she is out.

I am a gore watching freak!!!

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.

Back then...GEENA DAVIS and TERI GARR

Now....JESSICA LANGE

Jessica Lange, without question! This was the most adorable I've ever seen her---she was precious in this.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

I thought Terri Garr's character was more attractive than Jessica Lange's.

Jessica is very pretty but her character's personality sucked (which is likely at least a partial reflection of her own real character). High maintenance, alcoholic, living in a fantasy world and attracted to nasty men.

I liked Terri Garr. She was cute, crazy, and darn it, just fun to be around. Who would always be more fun in bed and who would be more likely to be a moody, dead fish in the sack?

No contest.

THAT has to be the most ignorant post here. I understand if you prefer the ditzy, insecure, neurotic of Teri Garr's character over the ditzy, self-destructive, but lovely of Jessica Lange's character. And Teri Garr is very pretty, although personally, I think Jessica Lange is more beautiful in a timeless way. And yes, her character is flawed in the movie, drinking so much, but holding up to the pressure of a demanding job, stardom, single motherhood, and a cheating love interest who is also her director, making escape difficult.

BUT the idea that this somehow carries over to her private life makes no sense--do you know something we don't? Do you know she and Sam Shephard (actor and playwright) were together for nearly 30 years, and raised 2 kids (now close to thirty?) together out of Hollywood's limelight?

She is still stunning--30+ years, later in a natural, no puffy lips or inflated cheeks way--successful, and has a good family life behind her. She played an actress with issues of sanity (Frances) and drinking (Tootsie). And you turn it into her playing a character whose "personality sucked (which is likely at least a partial reflection of her own real character)." I don't know how much of your last phrase is supposed to apply to the actress with the 'sucky personality,' as opposed to her character onscreen, but obviously you have her wrong... I don't even get the 'sucky personality' part--why? Her character rejected the lesbian affair she thought Dorothy wanted? She was not mean about it. The character was trying to be assertive because people were walking all over her.

She seems to have found one of the best partners in the industry--at least they set a record for longevity. Nothing in the news--No arrests ?(that I know of), no jail terms, no violence, no children in trouble. Some years ago he held a door to a sushi bar open for me and let me tell you, he is a handsome man off-screen! (onscreen too but off--wow!) Was your attack on her taste in men just for her character or part of the "at least a partial relection...?"

As for a fantasy world--she was a person who actually rejected Hollywood life for Virgina farming or something like that. I remember seeing something about the farm where they lived back in the 80s, a People magazine probably. I was really shocked to see what you just assumed. Do you have a single fact to base those things on--or just the 'sucky personality' if that was all you meant?

My experience (I lived in L.A. within minutes of studios for 45 years) is that the actors with the sucky personalities know it, and refuse to play true to form on camera. It's the nice ones who take on the difficult roles (going back to the days of the Wicked Witch of the West--people say she was a wonderful person!). Those who seem so wonderful on screen are the ones who may bite your head off. Sometimes they can't hide their awfulness, it's too obnoxious, but that could not be the case here.
