When she was in bed with Zack during the "love making scene" She made a comment that her mother was 39 and still working in the factory...39?? Even if Paulas mom had her at 18 that would make paula 21? I believe Debra winger was 27 when she did An Officer And A Gentleman and truthfully The character she plays reminds me of a 27 year old, Which would have made Paulas Mom 12 when she had paula...Yikes.
shareI think 20/21 was supposed to be the age of the women. You figure that Zack just graduated college (21/22) and joined the Navy to become an officer. The actors looked a little older than what they were playing but I can look past that because the performances are pretty damn good.
shareShe was at least 22, probably closer to 23 by the time she had the conversation with Zack as he's leaving her house after dinner with her family. She shows Zack the picture of her father and he says "So your real father was an Officer's Candidate, like me?" and she says "Yea, 22 years ago", so it's safe to assume she's referring to when her father and her mother hooked up and she was born, 22 years ago. IMO, she does not look 22 but still young and gorgeous.
