That scene where Stacy loses her virginity shows just how lame his moves were.

I'm not sure who taught him to kiss, but they failed miserably.

The way he kissed was just laughable. Mouth wide open, tongue hanging out, practically devouring her face. Just gross.

Then his foreplay was pretty much non-existent. He opens her shirt & barely kisses her b/f just going for it. That's pretty much it.

No wonder he went after teenagers, they probably don't have much experience & won't know the difference.

At least he was a gentleman & brought a blanket for Stacy to lie on. 

Yeah, I understand that was the point of the character.

I guess I was just trying to say that if Ron Johnson was a real guy he would be a horrible person to have sex with.

I think Ron Johnson was an older version of Damone. Instead of working at 7-11, Damone should have applied at Pacific Stereo.

Yeah but you have to admit that was a pretty slick move to take her there. That was probably the coolest little league dugout in the entire town.

I think she's horrified that he sucks so badly at it, lol. The scene ends with a faraway shot of the dugout, and they're still doing it. It's anybody's guess where he comes, including yours may be the right answer.

Or just take her back to his apartment. I mean, he picks her up on a street corner, she gets in, he suggests The Point, she gets effed in a dugout and he takes her home. I mean, SERIOUSLY??? I think his abilities aren't the focus of the scene. It think it's more that here's this girl, who's having sex for the first time, and it's not magical. It's not this amazing experience full of love. It's in a dirty dugout, with a guy she's not super fond of. It's accentuated by constantly showing what it's like from her view - looking at the dirty walls and ceilings with graffiti, while Ron's pumping away, completely unaware of her distratction.

Once that point is established, the sex ends. There's no need to drag it out. Besides, it's a movie. How long should they have made the sex scene last? 10 minutes? 45? It's not a porn film - it's a movie that's trying to make a point. And the point isn't so much that Ron sucks in bed, it's that the way Stacy loses her virginity is a lot more realistic for a teen.

I understand the point of the scene.

My point is that imagine if Ron Johnson were with an older, experienced woman. His moves would be laughable to her.

This was Stacy's first time, right? I always wondered why Ron didn't notice she was bleeding. Or maybe he just didn't care. Probably why he never called her back...among other reasons.

I think he did call her for a while, but after a while he probably just grew bored w/ her & stopped calling.

In a dark dugout, particularly for a guy whose focus on the girl sucks, yeah, he probably didn't even notice. It's also possible there was no blood (or so minimal), even though she remarked how badly it hurt. Some girls get the pain but no bleeding.

And yes, he did call her back. Around the holidays at the pizzeria, Stacy tells Linda that Ron has not phoned since November, and we know they began "dating" in September. Probably multiple hookups for two months until Ron moved on.
