The Fox and The Hound
As stupid this may sound, I compare it to Shakespeare. You are given two likable characters from different worlds that are never meant to be, but they try to make it work. Events are set in motion that eventually turn them against one another, and when this happens, there is no return to the way things used to be. I still get teary at the end as that haunting voiceover comes on from a conversation in their past.

Toy Story 2
The obvious scene. Jessie's past. The idea of growing up and being forgotten ring tried and true here, and portray themselves exceptionally well on screen. People grow, and you are forgotten sometimes because of it. Best friends loose each other, and loved ones grow apart. I cried hard the first time I saw this, as I had just lost my best friend in a car accident.

Finding Nemo
Yes, yes, I cried during this, but not hard like the first two. The whole theme of this story is letting go, in more ways than one. The dad must let go of his son, and also come to grip with the fact he could not save his wife. While the second theme doesn't show itself like the first, it is still there. The thought of loosing someone so dear to me, and almost loosing someone else just made me tear.

I can't agree more with most of you here. Fox and the Hound, Bambi, Dumbo and Lion King were some of the most heart-wrenching moments i know. The likes of Titanic etc. were nowhere near on the same category, though that's probably more to do with the fact that they're films. Somebody mentioned Jesse's story in Toy Story 2. While not particularly sad, it was incredibly emotive and nostalgic.

The Lion King is the big one, mostly because it's my favorite movie ever. I cry when Simba's father dies and he says, "Dad, you gotta get up, we gotta go home." The scene where Simba sees his father in the sky and remembers his place in the Circle of Life...that gets me too. "The Circle of Life" opening sequence also makes me teary-eyed. Basically everything about that movie gets me emotional because of the sheer beauty of the film, not to mention the way it makes me feel like a kid!

In "Brother Bear" I get teary eyed when Koda gets to say goodbye to his mother and Kenai's brothers are reunited.

The scene in "Finding Nemo" where Marlin picks up Nemo's egg and holds him in his fins and says, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you. Nemo." (or something to that effect) brings tears to my eyes.

"Colors of the Wind" is a tear-jerker because of the power of the song.

The scene from "Mulan" where the emperor bows to Mulan and so do all the hundreds of people in the crowd chokes me up every time I watch it.

Many parts from "Eight Below"

Not Disney But Still Tear-Worthy:
Charlie's goodbye to Anne-Marie in "All Dogs Go to Heaven"
When Balto finally returns back with the supplies and medicine for the children in (duh) "Balto"
The trailer for the new "Charlotte's Web" also makes me cry and I haven't even seen the movie yet!

I've longed to discover something as true as this is.

o o o o that bit in All Dogs Goe To Heaven at the beginning "you Can Never Come Back" and when Anne Marie Sings the song bout family that aways got me! and of course at the end when he says goodbye.

charlottes web was the only book when i was little that ever made me cry for a spider!!

Eigh Below always gets me when they find old jack!!!

The Lion King makes me cry every time. :'( It's so sad when his dad dies. I guess it's more sad to me than, say, Bambi because the way of his death was much more tragic. Bambi's mom just got shot. Still sad though.
The Fox and the Hound always makes me cry when she has to drop Tob off in the woods and Tod doesn't know what she is doing and is so confused and scared. *cry*
I think I want to watch a disney movie now.

1. The Fox and the Hound - when Widow Tweed drops Todd off in the forest. that song is terrible for that!! :( it also reminds me of being a kid again
2. Bambi - his mother's death, now moreso than when i was younger. I didnt really understand and just wondered why his mother disappeared for the rest of the movie -__-
3. The Lion King - of course Mufasa's death, but the overall triumphant feeling of the movie balances that out. still...there's tears...

When I was 6 my dad sent me this movie as a gift, and I watched it. It was so sad and depressing I never saw it again. Seriously, my video has never been cracked open in 11 years. I love all Disney movies, and watched all of them, including the sad ones (except Bambi), and it didn't have nearly the same effect as this movie. (The only scene that came close was when Mufasa died, I didn't watch the Lion King for ages after that, and it made me tear up when I watched it a few years ago). The Lion King would be second on this list, and then Dumbo because of the scene when Dumbo's mom rocks him to sleep and he has to leave her (I actually cried then).

Honorable mentions would be Mary Poppins when the dad is all alone and loses his job. That made me feel so sad for him. I genrally don't cry at movies, but I've turned into a teary sap in my old age. :)

The Fox and the Hound made me become so depressed when I saw it. Sure I was in third grade but it was so sad to me that I haven't been able to watch it since (I'm 21). Even thinking about/reading these threads has made me so sad!

Fox and the Hound made me cry when Widow Tweed had to drop Tom off in the Woods! Hes just so cute! And when Cheif fell off the bridge, and Copper said 'I'm gonna get you for this, Tod'. It sucks that they had to be enemies. Hats off to Disney for another wonderful production, though!

This movie by far is my biggest tear jerker movie. the beginning is basically bambi. I'm going top Disney movies that get me. my rating as follows:

1. Fox and the Hound
2. Lion King (my dad tears up in this movie.. when we saw it in theater he did because his dad died 2 years previous to this)
3. Dumbo (saw it recently and just bawled)
4. Brother Bear( i'm surprised this didn't do better because i enjoyed it, my friend cried when we saw it in theaters. I cried later when I rented it)
5. EIGHT BELOW!! (omg. my older brother refuses to see this because he has a husky)
6. Lady and the Tramp, the small part with the pound

Bambi wasn't a tear jerker for me for some reason, I think it just confused me more than anything when I was little and when I saw it again it just bored me.
