The 7 knives to kill Daiman
I thought it took all the knives to kill him, not one.

Being that not all the Knives were used he will come back eventually in some form or other.
shareThis film decided to retcon that without announcing it, leaving the audience baffled as to why the priests would split up and separate the daggers, and confounded about how one dagger in the back is now enough to kill him.
shareNo, they had always planned to do Omen 4 Armageddon as a movie, but issues with finding a director ultimately led to it being shelved. You can find the screenplay online by Stanley Mann. Mcgill wrote the novel for 4 and later 5 that tied up the whole 7 dagger issue.
shareWhat do you mean ‘No’? None of what you’ve said negates my point. Some hypothetical future projects don’t change the fact that Omen III retcons the ‘it takes 7 knives to kill Damien’ rule without announcing it, leaving the audience baffled as to why the priests would split up and separate the daggers, and confounded about how one dagger in the back is now enough to kill him.
shareLooking at Final Conflict as the end of the story, Christ was returning to defeat Damien anyway. All they were concerned with was killing Damien with at least one dagger to guarantee the Christ baby's safety. Outside of that, if you count 4 and 5, then yeah, they messed up but the needing of all seven is still addressed.
shareIt turned out that one was enough. Probably because Jesus was watching.
The whole movie is flawless because it's about supernatural things so anything goes!
One just had to be enough in the context of the film. Plans were in place to make Omen IV Armageddon 2000 into a movie which had Kate Reynolds birth Damien's son who was the result of not correctly using all seven daggers, but the film never happened. The novelization for it and part 5: Abomination still fill in the gaps though.
shareThat is correct. Someone on here lost their minds when I stated this simple and key part of the story's mythology.
