Is Caitlin Clarke attractive

I know this probably is weird as Caitlin Clarke has sadly passed away, but I can honestly say that she was one of the most attractive women I have ever seen.

When I first watched Dragonslayer my thoughts were, this is a weird looking heroin and she has a very stange voice. Second time I watched it, I twigged and I thought she was amazingly attractive. Guess how sad I was to find out that she had no other major roles on film and her main legacy was on stage - from what I know you cant get plays on DVD.

From what ive read on the comments, few have made comments about Caitlin in Dragonslayer and some say they found her unattractive. I wanted to ask you people if you think it strange for a generally together 16 year old to be attracted to this obscure (undeservedly so) actress from a 25 year old film. Do you people think shes hot or not so to speak.

I was 20 when this film came out, and like somebody else said, seeing Valerian in a dress for the first time took my breath away. It was partly for Caitlin (but mainly for the dragon, still the best realized dragon in movie history, IMHO) that I went back to see the film two more times in the first few weeks of its release. Still a shame that she didn't get any other major film roles. Was she "hot"? No, but she was very attractive.

I was 11 whe I saw D.S.- And seeing her under water in that scene is what sold me. And I could swear there was a full frontal nude shot of her when it played in (81). I just bought the DVD for like $6.Theres only side nudity.Maybe my old mind has played tricks on me. Also- I searched here thinking that the chick from E.R. "The one who plays Abby " looked so much like her I had to see. Plus it's a real shame to find out about 'Caitlins' passing.

It wasn't just adolescent boys who were stuck senseless by Caitlin's beauty. I was 25 when the movie came out & was also stuck senseless. Anyone who calls her unattractive must be blind.
I only today discovered that she died & am saddened by this.

I was thirty when I saw DS and was stricken with CC. May she RIP. Compare her beauty in DS to Jane Wiedlin's Joan of Arc in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Same pure beauty.

yeah she was really hot. i still dream about that bathing sceen. i liked her better as a guy though.

Yes. I had a huge crush on her when I first saw this movie (I was 13). I recently watched it again and she looked a whole lot like Maura Tierney, who, in my book, is also a hottie.

YOu know i just started watching this movie for the first time and i was about 15 mins in and thinking "uh, that, that boy is attractive, so either i have homosexual tendencies i didnt know i have or they cast a girl as a boy or its a guy who's so androgynous looking that i'm possibly allowed to think he's hot". But it bugged me so i had to come on imdb and check and of course find out it's indeed a girl. Then i found out if i had waited ten mins longer I wouldnt have had to check. Yes, she's very hot.

Very!

Odd she didn't have a great movie career.

She definitely shined in Dragonslayer.

I wonder how many guys in that village saw her in the dress and thought, "wait, so I'm not gay?"

I saw this way back in 1981 when it was released and was mesmerized by Caitlin Clarke's beauty. She was definitely a very attractive women. It's weird that some tomboyish women are so damn attractive.
I only recently found out she passed away. It's a great loss and I wonder why she wasn't a more prominent actress. She will be greatly missed.

She was so good in that movie - pulled off the performance wonderfully and yes, I had such a crush on her. She was even more beautiful without makeup than when she "came out of the closet" and put her girl gloop on.

I saw the movie when it was on cable back in 82 and was mesmerized by her. The movie was/is great and the dragon flying scenes are remarkable.

I can remember feeling my heart heart yearn for Caitlin, after the movie was over.

I rented it recently and was curious about her and looked her up here on IMDB only to find out that she passed on 4 years ago.

I felt as if a part of me was yanked out and gone forever.

I didn't realize just how much of an impact she had on me until recently.

She was beautiful in a very striking way that you don't see very often.

She will be sorely missed.

Is it weird that I think she was cuter as a boy? :P

reply

Of course not! I very much like the tomboy look also. That's what first caught my eye!

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle "Dixie"?

reply

i thought she looked better when she was pretending to be a man, before she started wearing the dresses
