There is a version of this movie with slightly alternate scenes. Or it may just be the one scene, but I clearly remember seeing full frontal nudity when Valerian is revealed to be a woman underwater. It's a small detail, but I'm surprised I've never seen people talk about this. I saw it in a broadcast version of the film on television many years ago. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Is this version of the film available anywhere?

IMDb says that the laserdisc version is "...the only uncut version of the film and is a valuable collector's item." So, unless that has what you're looking for, I'd say you're imagining up a bit of non-history.
I saw this in theater when it was released. I also remember it being rated PG, but the underwater nudity scene was there with Valerian's nipples in full view. I also believe her bushy beaver was visible for only a split second though.
