He was only traumatized in that he compared all women's beauty to his mother's.
"She's kinda hot, but I still prefer Mom."
Come to think of it, that would be kinda bad, wouldn't it?

"Attempted murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry?"
Full nudity was not considered bizarre in the ancient world and neither were several other fundamental moral issues. The taboo, or lack of, in relation to public nudity is entirely a cultural decision.
Come to think of it, there are still plenty of third world countries today containing large tribal populations who prefer to live their daily lives naked. They think nothing of it.
Let's not be prudish - there's nothing unusual about a mother and child on a warm island spending some time naked.

If you get traumatized by seeing your parents naked then I guess we should all be psychotic idiots, judging by the thread starter I am afraid that maybe closer to the truth than ever before.
sharealright I guess its time to confess
this thread was an I-Mockery reference http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/clash-of-the-titans/default.php

Related question: why would his mother breast feed the kid?! That's disgusting!! It's like incestuous!!
(SARCASM!!!)
only if she was unattractive. lol
shareit symbolized the innocence of Perseus's upbringing, kinda how like Adam and Eve were first naked in the Garden of Eden, yet because they were innocent, they did not know they were naked. it weirded me out when I was younger too, but thats because "we" commonly associate nudity with sex
shareWhy not?
Swimsuits didn't become fashionable until the 18th century. It would have been perfectly normal in ancient Greece (or in any other ancient society) for a mother and child to go to the beach in the nude. I guess the birthday suit was seen as the best, most comfortable bathing suit.
I was 11, and even I was expecting to see a naked Greek man making a play for and trying to curry favor with young Perseus
shareIn the Adman and Eve they cover themselves up because they realize the shame of being naked.

I'm guessing there wont be any naked beach walking in the remake
back in 98 I did a titty comedy for Skinemax. Sex Camp, ya remember it?
Who told them they were naked?
shareAre people really responding to the OP seriously? Anyone who asks such questions is joking around, usually.
"Losing your hair? Tiny cock? Buy a Porsche!" MTW
I wonder more about how much the child actor liked doing the scene naked with the really hot actress.
sharePerseus was probably repulsed at the sight of a naked woman as a boy, as he was probably under constant attack from the Greek men trying to roger him on a daily basis. The Greek men would try to curry favor with Perseus. You would probably need a crowbar to seperate the Greek men from Perseus

because nudity is awesome! It's natural...
: )
That's all I can say about nudity, on different perspective...I mean I'm still studying film now and there's a different definition of nudity: art nudity...kinda more into nature perspective, and nudity for dirty minded people (pardon my language, I'm not good at english)...
Nudity does not necessarily imply sexuality. The ancinet world was replete with nude statues and paintings. some of them were overtly sexual; others were not. Clash of the Titans in no way objectifies either Danae or ndromeda when they appear naked in the film. Both appear natural in context of the movie and do nothing demeaning or overly sensual in their scenes. I've just spend several posts defending Christians against unnecessary attacks by intolerant atheists on the other Clash of the Titans board, but extreme religious zealots who get hung up over a couple of tastefully done--and brief--shots of women in a movie set in ancient times make me wonder exactly why I felt the need to defend them.
