'Halloween' Parallels

I'm surprised there isn't a thread on here already about this, but I couldn't ignore the scenes that practically ripped moments out of John Carptenter's Halloween, in particular the one when Joyce walks down the neighbourhood streets with her friend -- some of the dialogue is practically a minor rewrite!

There were other similarities, such as how Timmy is portrayed, which is quite like the character of Tommy in Halloween.

Did anyone notice this?

I just saw it and you are right it felt like watching "Halloween" in some scenes
i wonder why is not listed in the "movie conections" section.

Yep; and the girl's father was a cop, just like Annie's dad in "Halloween." and the kid looked and talked like the kid Tommy from Halloween. But I see this as more of an obvious nod, or tribute to a great horror classic, rather than a "rip-off." Other than some similarities, this film's story line goes in an entirely different direction.
