Marlboro product placement in this flick

Did anyone else notice the extreme Marlboro product placement throughout this movie? You can hardly see the movie for the clouds of smoke, and everyone has a deck of Marlboros rolled up in their sleeve. They mention it by name a time or two, and in one scene you can see a giant "MARLBORO" banner behind the actors. Give me a break! No wonder we all smoked like fiends back then. ;-)

My preschool advertised KOOL cigarettes to children. I have a class photo from 1981 where there's an advert for the brand in the background. If you have Google+ I can show you.

They even advertised them at my elementary school at the lunchroom. We stood in line outside, and they had adverts for Camel and Marlboro (not at the same time) while we waited to go in. The school insisted it was advertising to teachers. Also, back in the 80's and 90's while cigarettes were behind the counter, mini cigars, cigars, chewing tobacco, snuff etc., were in the candy aisle.

People today tend to not believe stuff like that but it happened.
