You were fired? Who cares??
A great film to be sure, but
the scene where Ted gets a new
job in a matter of minutes is almost
laughable.
I realizer he has the experience and
that he's willing to sell himself at a
bargain price, but the idea that this
potential employer would ask him
why he is willing to take a cut
in pay without mentioning he did
just get fired is ridiculous.
It sure is important when he
gets to court to fight for custody.
I realize that the guy at that
agency might have mentioned
it in advance but if so, he probably
would get no interview at all.
Then to top it off, he tells them
to make a decision right now
or else. Totally absurd.
Then he magically gets hired
and grabs a woman he never
met and plants one on her.
Cute, but don't try that
in real life, especially
these days where you
have to apologize for
everything
