Obviously, it was extremely popular in Israel, where the series is from.
As I'm from Germany, I know it was a massive success here.
But where else in the world was it successful?
It was also very popular in Poland... One of the top titles of the video era... I think that Lemon Popsicle 5 was even given a theatrical release.
shareI live in Canada, but frankly the only one I've seen for sale in a store (excluding the remake) was the second one, dubbed and in a public domain collection.
I'd like to see the others though, at least the ones with the same three stars.

I watched it on TV back home in Slovenia and you could also see it on german channels. It was popular and funny. On par with Porky's I'd say.

The first films were very popular in Greece as well. Along with Nationa Lampoon, Nerds and Porky they were used to fill Weekend afternoons.
They were dubbed in English and the names of the characters were changed so I never guessed it was an Israeli film until very recently
The Popsicle films were a must-watch on VHS for myself and my peers here in the UK in the early 80's, every video rental shop had them.
