This Vs Dawn of the Dead (2004)?

So far I've only seen the original, I haven't seen the remake yet so I can't really say which ones better, I do own the remake as well but I haven't watched it yet so which Dawn Of The Dead movie do you like better and why?

I enjoy both movies greatly. I might give this one the edge due to seeing it first and having fond memories watching it as a child. The 2004 version is really good in its own right and isn't just a carbon copy.

The two movies are pretty different but both are enjoyable. A lot of the subtle social commentary is missing in the remake, so I have to go with the original, though the action creates more of a sense of urgency in the remake, plus it reveals what would happen if an infected (but not zombified) woman were to give birth. That alone should be enough reason to see it.

there is it again the " social commentary " , where was it exactly?

'78 is superior

The original, without question.

The remake is an action movie with zombies. Entertaining but ultimately hollow.

IMO, the original's the best. The 2004 re-make's zombies came off like a huge cash-in on Danny Boyle's Rage Virus from 28 Days Later.

I much prefer the original. It's such a classic, has memorable moments, awesome gore for its time and it's schlocky cheesy value.

Dawn 78 is much better all round, far more character driven and psychological than the remake. Just overall a more focused and epic movie than Dawn 04.

Dawn 2004 wasn't bad at all, better than most remakes and certainly better than I thought it would be. But I don't think it compares to the original, which is one of my favourites of all time (definitely in my top 5).

Dawn 04 is worth a watch, but is nothing too special imo.
