peanut butter?

I've watched this three times so far on El Rey and like it a lot. The
definition of creepy, especially Roberts Blossom's performance and that
organ music.

In the scene where Ezra is sitting beside his mother's bed, talking to her
corpse about how fat Maureen Selby is, he is eating a chicken leg. Then he
dips it into what looks like a jar of peanut butter sitting on the nightstand.

Can anyone make out any details on the jar? Is it something else, or is Ezra
dipping fried chicken in peanut butter?

I just finished watching the movie and that really jumped out at me as well. I couldn't make out the brand but there was a cat on the peanut butter jar. When I looked it up on the web it appears it's the Black Cat Peanut Butter from South Africa. The movie was filmed in Canada so maybe that's a popular brand up there. Anyway, it's funny that I notice little obscure things like that in movies. But here's a review of Deranged that mentions just that:
