When Reagan was talking to her mom about Burke and how she thought her mom was going to marry him, did you think that was Captain Howdy filling her head with those ideas or do you think this was just something she heard through hearsay?

I think her mom caught her reading a tabloid magazine in one scene, so maybe that explains it.

Burke was such an obnoxious little prick I cannot see why she would marry him except for the wealth and prestige of being a famous director's wife.
