It's my personal opinion, that of all the people the world has lost tragically way to soon, that the death of Bruce lee is possibly the most saddest and tragic !

That a man who was so supremely talented as a martial artist and with a gifed insight into the philosophy of the human spirit, should be lost to the world at such a young age when he was on the brink of super stardom because of his god given talent, is an absolute tragedy !

He had so much more to offer to the world as both a martial artist, as an entertainer and as a philosopher, that it seems so god damn unfair that his life ended when it did as he was on the cusp of greatness worldwide.

There have been many tragic deaths in the entertainment world but surely what Bruce Lee would have accomplished had he lived on, that his death at such a young age, has to rate right up there as being one of the most tragic early deaths the world has ever known.

He could have bridged the gaps between so many cultures. He was a true cosmopolitan.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people in Bruce's life believe that he was murdered. There's even an interview that Van Williams did for Fighting Stars Magazine where he mentioned that Bruce told him about having problems with the Chinese mafia.

The director of Enter the Dragon wrote a biography about Bruce where he acknowledges the widely held belief: "Is it possible that Bruce was murdered, as so many claimed at the time and still believe? The answer, based on everything which can be learned to date, is yes."

The death of Bruce's son Brandon on the set of The Crow in March 1993 was also supremely tragic. What happened to Brandon is one of the few Hollywood deaths that I always get supremely upset and depressed over. Especially considering that he was basically killed due to the negligence and incompetence of the people that he worked with and trusted.

Brandon's comments about his father beginning at the 2:24 mark of this video less than nine months before his own death, is eerily prophetic:

Yeah Brandon's death is so tragic and so damn sad

Linda Lee said in a way she was glad Bruce wasn't around when his son died as the impact of such a loss would have been too much for him.
