... not to be TOO mad and hateful towards criminals like Alex de Large in this movie and that as wrong as they were for doing what they did and as deserving as they were by rights of legal punishment, even they can get a shot at redemption and that violence and hatred like that towards even guilty violent criminals is not the answer?

It’s more about free will in and of itself (the original book leaned a bit more closely to redemption). Of course, as it is with many Kubrick films, there are a number of interpretations out there.
