The funniest scene in cinematic history

Yossarian shows up naked to receive his medal.
Then the longest silence in film history.
Followed by Orson Welles:
"Unless I miss my guess, Captain... you're out of uniform."
Gawd I was laughing so hard my dog started humping my leg.

THIS POST CONTAINS A SPLOILER - There are too many great scenes in this highly-underrated movie to list them all here. My favorite scene is not funny at all, but very ironic. It is the scene in which Nately comes back to look for the people at the whorehouse, and he finds out that the old man has died - after listening to the old man give him a long speech days earlier about how foolish the U.S. is to take a principled stand in the war and get involved. He says he survives all the changes in history and various invaders of his country, Italy, because he is loyal to whichever more powerful country occupies his own, and describes to Nately how Italy will end up winning the war and outliving the U.S., because it is so weak. Great dialog there, and great irony when the old guy dies.
