Cinderella. I made my poor grandpa sit through it an ungodly number of times, then continuously rewind and watch it again. He was a saint. x-) Never complained; just did whatever I wanted. Not that it isn't an awesome movie, but I've always had a habit of getting obsessed with favorite movies...at various points I recall watching "Bingo" (the dog movie), Babe: Pig in the City, and others almost literally every single day for a while. Anyway, I think my second, third, and fourth Disney films were Dumbo, Bambi, and The Jungle Book, but it's hard to say because my grandma used to buy us EVERY family movie on VHS and then DVD...so we have almost every Disney film and watched them all a million times! Though I have many favorites, all of them are awesome.

I know we watched a lot of Disney movies growing up, but the first one I can consciously remember is Sleeping Beauty. I loved that movie, and had my parents rent it about once a week. Yeah, it would have been smart to buy it, but eventually I did get my own copy. I remember my dad taking the rented video and our VCR over to my Grandma's house, and using our VCR and her VCR to make me a copy. I proceeded to watch it once a day for nearly a year. Not surprisingly, the copy eventually wore out.

The earliest movie (and as it happens to be, earliest Disney movie) I can remember seeing was Oliver & Company when I saw it in the theater in 1988. I was 4. I don't know if that was actually the first movie I saw but it's the earliest one I can remember.

Wow! Nobody here anywhere near as old as me! My mum took me to see “Bambi” when I was about three (in 1943!…). That was my first movie. I loved it but remember how upset I was when Bambi’s mother was shot. Next was “Pinnocchio” shortly after. I was a passionate Disney fan throughout my childhood. (Still am!) I posted a little autograph book to Walt when I was 7 or 8 and got it back with his autograph in it. (Gave it away – what a dumb thing to do!) I’ve seen all Disney full-length animations, I think. My favorites are “Sleeping Beauty” and “The Lion King”.

I'm pretty sure it was The Jungle Book, on a re-release sometime in the mid '70s. It would have been the first film I saw at the cinema.

I definitely saw The Aristocats on re-release too, along with others. I'm watching The Aristocats now for the first time in perhaps forty or more years and I have to say, it is boring me to tears...

The jungle Book holds up wonderfully. :)

The first one in the theater was Snow White in its 1967 release. Considering we'd only just got a working TV, it was probably the first, period.
