Julie or Linny

Okay, for people familiar with Coogan's Bluff, maybe this question can be akin to the ubiquitous "Mary Ann or Ginger" debate. Who would you rather have, the respectable probation officer and sympathetic social worker Julie (Susan Clark), or the tempting but maliciously duplicitous and zonked-out hippie chick Linny Raven (Tisha Sterling)? Linny would definitely be an easier lay, but who knows where she'd lead you afterwards ...

Julie dear. She is real beauty and sweet. If she allowed a parolee to touch her breasts, you can imagine how cooperative she would be. Plus she is also more attractive and mature. She is the type of women you can take to your mom.

Going after Linny is like going on a dangerous path. She gave Ringermen to Coogan. She is not to be trusted.

We cant be lucky like Coogan to get the measure of both of them. He already slept with Linny(Kills two birds)got his way and also Linny. Julie he got a for a longer realtionship.

Julie was great looking but Linny would have to be my pick. She's ((dreamy)).

Julie. Smoldering embers waiting to be fanned into a white-hot flame.

Linny brought Coogan to Ringerman because she knew she couldn't trick him anymore, after the prior incident at the pool hall. He was way wise to her by then. She realized the next punch from Big Clint's mighty fist would be going through her face, instead of the apartment wall. At that point she was more scared of Coogan than she was of betraying her man.

Melodie Johnson/Millie in the opening of the film.

That I'd agree with.

reply

Linny, cute. My type.

reply

Yeah- but that wasn't the question. It was between the two main female leads in the film. Melodie Johnson basically did a cameo. Your reply would be more valid if the question had included her as well.

reply

I'd easily pick Linny Raven. Julie wasn't that good looking up close.

reply

She'd lead you into Pushies Place! "He's looking for Jimmy Ringerman"!

reply

"Maliciously duplicitous?"- I love it!! Very nicely put, good sir.

Though Julie was a most delicious "dish" with her staggeringly feline eyes; as far as I'm concerned, Linny had it all over her!!!!!

With that incredible face, those huge, amazing eyes, and luscious lips; the small, but powerfully alluring "package", otherwise known as Tisha Sterling, easily trumped 'em all !!!!!

Julie, every time. A quiet afternoon getting to know her rather better - damn!

Julie.
However, keep in mind that once the 80's roll around, you will be obligated to adopt a little light-skinned African-American boy, whom she will be slightly annoyed by (despite the fact that he will ALWAYS call her "Maa'm").
Also he will use the dumbwaiter instead of the stairs, but at least he will never ask you whatchoo talkin' bout.
