Which car chase was better?

The one here or in The Goonies in the beginning after the jail break?

reply

1. Bullitt

2. The French Connection

3. All the rest

I forgot to add many of the chase scenes from The Dukes of Hazzard between the Duke boys and Roscoe. Those may top all of the ones you mentioned. There were lots of crazy stunts on the back roads thru the country side

Okay.

For me, the car chase in Bullitt is tied with the opening car chase in the original Mad Max (1979) as the best.

Nothing beats the chases in all the Fast and Furious movies

reply

#1: Bullitt

#2: Ronin

#3: Gone in 60 Seconds (1974 original)

Bullit in no. 1. Always. Even Gene Hackman thought so. His French Connection is 2nd, which was Friedkin’s. But also Friedkin’s - Live and Die in LA deserves mentioning.
