Shattered Visage: the graphic novel

I couldn't believe there was no thread about this outstanding graphic novel based on the series. It appeared around 1989-90, and was illustrated and written by the team of Dean Motter and Mark Askwith. While some of the decisions they made couldn't help but be controversial among the fanbase, I really enjoy this and accept it as a worthy sequel/follow-up to the TV series. A lot of think-tank conversation was obviously behind this, and the creators demonstrate they really know all the intricate details and discussion-points backwards and forwards.

If you're a fan of the series and haven't seen Shattered Visage, let me give it my highest recommendation. Even if you disagree with where the authors go, it will at the very least re-affirm your love for its inspiration.

For those who have seen this, what did you think?

I've been meaning to take a look at that.

While I don't think The Prisoner can have a worthy sequel, as it says everything it wants & needs to say in itself, I do think Shattered Visage is one of the best attempts to follow up on many of the ideas in the original series. Even when I don't agree with every interpretation by Motter & Askwith, it's clear they're fully engaged with the original & that it matters to them. And the fact that both Patrick McGoohan & Leo McKern read & approved of the script says a lot.
