If a movie adaptation of The Prisoner were made today, who would you cast in the role of Number 6 and the various Number 2s? Here is my ideal cast:
Number 6 - Damian Lewis
Number 2s - Benedict Cumberbatch, Gary Oldman, Tilda Swinton, Kenneth Branagh
Iwan Rheon wpuld be another interesting choice for Number Two.
shareI could see Paul Bettany as #6. His role as the ship's doctor in Master and Commander would be a good template for the Prisoner who is a man of conviction struggling against the powers that be.
I think Patrick Stewart would make a marvelous #2 (or one of them).
Actually to pay full homage to the TV series you should have at least two Number 2 in the movie. I love that aspect of the show, the constantly changing of Number 2's.

shareI'm not sure for 6. 2 provides great opportunity for outside-the-box thinking. I like your suggestions, but Swinton is the most intriguing. I'd like to see Warwick Davis, who has always been under-used, and perhaps other choices like Benicio Del Toro.
