Impossible to watch now due to the lack of diversity and xenophobia

Gosh, I've got to say I was shocked! In these difficult times I thought with the children banned from the trick or treating festivities with these lockdown restrictions, to keep the evil covid-19 at bay (which we all fully support in this house thank you very much!), this could provide some much needed Halloween relief.

Anyway, it started off ok with some much appreciated vegetable rights shown by Linus, shocked at the brutal stabbing of their Halloween pumpkin by Lucy. This I could see bringing a new form of injustice for the children to enjoy considering.

However we got perhaps maybe ten minutes in when Poppy seemed very upset. I paused the film and asked if she was ok. "It's just daddy, I haven't seen any non white characters at all yet. Is this cartoon... ok?". I was a bit shocked but realised yes she was correct.

I tried to calm her down and said I was sure more diversity would be along shortly and somewhat placated her with the observation that their parents were clearly advocates of the type of free range parenting our favourite Sunday newspaper champions.

However, not another five minutes later you could hear a pin drop in our house before the crying began... "I don't understand papa" said young Poppy, "There are no non white characters in this entire show. Plus, through the use of the beloved Snoopy character, it is reinforcing the xenophobic notion that we should continue to look upon the Germans as our enemies."

"Papa, why are you making us watch this xenophobic racist monstrosity?"

Unfortunately this startling call out set her younger brother off, as the bitter tears of injustice began gently flowing from young Otis' cheeks.

With that I was rightly enraged and leapt up to switch the infernal machine off right there and then!

I implore any right thinking parents to seriously consider ever showing the dated production values employed here to their precious offspring.

Before you try to use sarcasm in a format where it doesn't work..

(text doesn't have tones, body language, facial expressions or other nuances, so it's impossible to discern whether someone is being serious or not unless you spend a long time analyzing what's being said and study the (seeming) exaggerations, etc. Even then, you can be wrong - especially in today's climate, where the insanity expressed in your post is actually realistic)

..maybe you could at least proofread your post. As you are, generally speaking, showing better-than-average linguistic skills, however, I will go easy on you.

That makes no sense. Replace the word 'daddy' with the word 'that' and add another comma, and you have yourself an english statement.

OK is an acronym, it's supposed to be written with capital letters (sometimes as 'O.K.', but never 'ok' or 'o.k.')!

Sadly, it's not going to take many years for us to reach a situation where your post could be written by someone without any hint of sarcasm, irony or humor.
