Biggest problem
Plot holes aside, is the lack of tension. Bond never feels like he is any real danger and scenes that are supposed to feel exciting just fall flat.

shareI say quite the opposite. This was the only Bond movie with zero plot holes and there was plenty of danger scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat
shareThat may be true. This one is mesmerizing for multiple reasons, so I don't think the plot is all that important. The underwater battle at the end is, however, WAY too long.
shareI think there are many good things about Thunderball. Some say it is the quintessential Bond film with great locales, Bond girl and gadgets. With all that in mind I get the love for the movie by Bond fans but I feel like the plot is messy and lacks tension. The underwater scenes going on too long is part of it.

The underwater scenes don´t bother me that much, its more the sequence of events involving Bond in Nassau. First he investigates the Disco Volante to see it has a hatch, then he investigates Palmyra, then he goes on a search for the Vulcan. It feels very stop/start and lacks fluidity.
