Thunderball or Never Say Never Again?

share"never say never again". first time watching this must be such a shocker when bond lands a fistful of knuckles on what appears to be a woman who later turns out to be a man dressed up as one, the smoking chair was of course spoofed in "austin powers", and the stretcher played out very similar to what happens in "moonraker" as bond is left alone. the speeded up technology which i read was new at the time looks bad. anyway, i find this the most boring of all bond flicks (of the period i watch, 1962-1985) and certainly prefer "never say never again", it is exotic, cooler, has more colourful bond girls, and hey, it's even got mr. bean in it.

woke up with you close,
like the good times before,
hot as the sun all morning you stay,
like magic charming my senses away,
hopin youll be here when i awake.
"Thunderball" by a long margin. "Never Say Never Again" was like a third-rate Bond ripoff, but with the original actor. It also suffered for lack of the official Bond music.
shareThunderball.
shareThunderball and it's not even close.
shareI grew up seeing NSNA often so I'm more inclined to like that one. Thunderball is good but I prefer the style of NSNA as I guess I'm more used to it.
shareDefinitely NSNA. Just an all around fun film. Would love to see it with a John Barry-type score. Thunderball has its merits. Good to put on if I'm having trouble falling asleep.
