Moronic Garbage

Lynley's character is an imbecile. With all the opportunities she had the last (interminable) 15 minutes or so to get away with her daughter, She allows herself to be blindfolded and spun around by her brother, who she knows to be a psycho who wants to kill the girl. What about hide and seek? She's standing with the kid by an open door, but does she run out? No, dumbbell runs upstairs to hide in a bedroom. This thing had plot holes so big you could drive a truck through them. Zero suspense, an idiot for a heroine, a villain you could see coming from the first two minutes, and a totally unbelievable storyline. Aside from Laura, on which he was a replacement, Preminger was a hack. He directed in a sledgehammer manner, everything was so obvious. I hope Olivier was well paid for his time; he cannot have been proud to have this crap on his resume.

I thought that the majority of the film was good, but I agree that Lynley's character could have done things differently at the end there. Good movie IMHO. I love these "person vanishes and no one believes that the person existed" types of stories.

Wow, it's astounding how some people just aren't bright enough to appreciate a good movie. It flies right over their heads, then they act angry about it. Oh well, their loss.

I thought so too
