One of the most UNDERRATED films of ALL TIME....
Quite why it's not the classic it deserves to be is beyond me. I find this to be a great thriller from start to finish. Up there with some of Hitchcock's best films.

shareIt's a pretty good movie but there are too many unanswered questions.
- I find it odd Ann never suspects Steven could be involved. She may want to protect her brother but her child's safety would have to come first. Letting the police know he's not stable might have helped them find Bunny.
- Are they hinting at an inappropriate relationship between brother and sister? There are many scenes that would suggest that including the fact he was jealous of the child's father and her closeness with the child.
- How many days or hours elapsed since bunny went missing? Could she really have survived all that time in a locked trunk? Why wouldn't Steven have killed her prior to putting her in the trunk?
- In later scenes, Steven is in a trance when he carries out his dastardly deeds. That is not the case early on. In fact, it would have been difficult if not impossible for him to pull off everything he did while in that state.
- I don't like the end of the movie. Too much time is spent playing then it all ends abruptly as if they ran out of time. Why didn't she
- Once the police discovered the passenger list, how did they figure out Steven was their man and where to find him? They had already searched that place and found nothing.
Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
She might not suspect but the porkies are beavering away in the background without telling either of them, none of which is by accident.

OP is right, this is an underrated classic. But there are some people who aren't quite bright enough to appreciate it. Their loss.
