WHY GREEK CULTURE IS MORE IN POP CULTURE THAN PERSIAN???

Why is it when we learn Greek Culture in society we never learn of Persian Culture when it was Persia that created the first currency, the first roads, (the royal road), the first postal system and most of all freedom (freeing the jews) the first Bill of Human Rights (King Cyrus)???

In high school and middle school everyone knows Greek Gods/Religion, but no one ever talks about Zoroastrianism ?..although some whatsimilar but more Monotheistic and the basis of Islam, Christianity and Judaism?

Is the Middle Eastern cultures a big taboo?

Western civilization has its roots in Greece. Evidence of that is your question. If the Persians were important, they would have influenced us.

Well just a theory...

If Ahmadinejad ran Hollywood for sure we'd see a Persian Empire blockbuster.....and it'll be a on blu-ray...;-)......

It's because the Persians were oppressive and violent. They would invade any area they could, kill or enslave the population and take it over. They were one of the most oppressive cultures ever. Even today their ancestors are the most violent and destructive people in the world.
