A hell of a collection you have! I've been collecting a bunch of DVD's to try and make a collection myself. My dream is to have a giant bookshelf of DVD's in my bedroom, that would just be so cool! I would have my own private archive!

The Marriage Of Maria Braun? That's the only Criterion I don't see anyone has listed. How is the Criterion DVD of that?

to answer your question 'other-wise', my own private idaho is a cool film, its not my favorite gus van sant, but its good and its interesting to see some of the start of what van sant would later bring into full blossom.

i saw someone had man bites dog, thats one crazy movie, i dont even know whether to say its good or not.

Last Movie I Watched:
Bad Timing-Nicolas Roeg

reply

I have:

Jules and Jim
A Woman is a Woman
Band of Outsiders
Le Samourai
The Royal Tenembaums
The Life Aquatic
Diabolique
Sword of Doom
Short Cuts
Rififi

As well as bootleg versions of:

The Seve Samurai
Rashomon
Ikiru
Salo

There's also ways to get a hold of some of the other films that are in the criterion collection by buying non-criterion DVDs. I know you don't get the special features or improved transfer, but if you're a poor student like me, it's often the way to go.
