I know this film catches a lot of flack because of the age of the leads but it’s never bothered me. In fact, I think this is one of the best “men on a mission” films around with a hell of a cast.
My favorite scene is when Mallory tells Miller that his “by standing days are over!” Its classic Peck at his finest. And damn, Irene Papas is so good looking.

I never noticed their age. These are such great actors they could be 90 years old and pull it off.
shareI always loved it. It's up there with other '60s movies like Where Eagles Dare, The Sand Pebbles, Battle of Britain, Dark of the Sun, Von Ryan's Express, and The Train. Oddly I was never really a big fan of The Dirty Dozen. The Great Escape is just okay.
shareI’m not the biggest fan of The Dirty Dozen either. The 60’s vibe and music in a 40’s setting always rubbed me the wrong way.
