I'm an old softie

I have always been a fan of the Twilight Zone. There very few of the episodes that I did not like. I liked the scary ones like "Nightmare at 20,000 feet", "The Howling Man" and "The Hitchhiker. I like the parable stories like "The Monsters are Due On Maple Street".
But, my favorites, probably because I am growing older now, are the sentimental, bittersweet offerings, that, to my mind, Rod Serling did best.
Of those, my favorites are "Kick The Can", "The Hunt" and "Night Of The Meek", because, and I am unashamed to admit, they bring a wistful happy tear to my eye every time.

Of the ones you listed, The Hunt is my favorite. It is probably in my top ten of all episodes because it is just nice.

I totally agree about that one. It's just a wonderful message about love and loyalty.

I feel that way about The Trade-Ins. Makes me teary every time, that sweet husband in pain.

Shannongr - I forgot about "The Trade In"! That is a great one also. The look on the old man's face after he switches bodies and realizes that he won't be able to go on without his wife, and the subsequent returning to his former body because he realizes his life was better before the Trade In really gets me a bit choked up.
